My quiet obsession with loafers began around mid-July when I purchased my first pair. Backless and classic, they were the polished slip-on my shoe closet had been lacking. When I fell in love with a second pair, this one tasseled, I worried that having two might be redundant. I purchased them anyways and waited for the buyer’s remorse to set in. To my surprise, it never did, as I discovered that the latter, while similar, worked for completely different situations.
